OK, so this took some discussion. I said Michael Phelps. Jess said no. We almost made it Matt Stafford, but after consideration...we settled on by far the best choice.





Here's to you Edward Cullen, by far the hottest quasi vampire ever, well, especially this year. No one else even came close in terms of hottness and relevancy this year. Your being super hot was the only bearable part of Twilight so bravo.

This week's Man Candy is Will Arnett. I don't think he's ever made a good movie, but his TV career totally makes up for it. Arrested Development is one of the best shows of all time, and he also has an excellent recurring role on 30 Rock. Plus he's married to Amy Poehler. Oh, and did I mention he's Canadian? Awesome. Here's to you, hotties of Gossip Girl. I (Katy) have been on the GG bandwagon since it's inception and am pleased to report that Jess has now gotten sucked in as well. One part that makes this show so awesome is these fly guys (from top): Ed Westwick aka Chuck Bass; Chace Crawford aka Nate Archibald; and Penn Badgley aka Dan Humphrey. I went through a Dan phase and a Nate phase, but now, Jess and I are both in such a Chuck Bass phase. They each bring something to the table. Dan (Penn) with his outsider on the inside mentality, struggling to survive in the world of the Upper East Siders. Nate (Chace) with a father now arrested and a mother in denial, as well as one crazy love triangle and former flame of queen bee, Blair Waldorf (my personal favorite), trying to process it all. And then Chuck (Ed). The son of a tycoon who is a womanizer with a sometimes heart of gold who is charming as can be. This is one guilty pleasure which we cannot live with out. So bravo, men of Gossip Girl. We know we love you. XOXO, McCluca.

Viva Las Vegas

It's that time of year again - these here bloggers are planning their annual trip to the great city of Las Vegas. Oh, it is the most wonderful time of the year. This time around, we are quite excited because this is where we are staying...



It's like we're going to be in one of my favorite cities, within another of my favorite cities. Happy, happy, joy, joy. They have the little Eiffel Tower drink stirs. So exciting. And a creperie. Even more exciting (because I love crepes).

Mid-week Man Candy

Well, with Katy in Georgia for Thanksgiving, Man Candy duties fall to me again. Hence Man Candy is a little late.


This week's Man Candy is Bradley Cooper. Actually, as with most people who were on Alias, I usually refer to him by his character's name - Will Tippin. Oh, Will Tippin, the hottest fake journalist on TV. I was so sad after he got betrayed by fake Francie and had to go into witness protection. He came back twice, but it just wasn't the same. Bradley Cooper also played supporting roles in a lot of movies I haven't seen or didn't like and starred in the show Kitchen Confidential, which quite deservedly got canceled after four episodes. But despite all that, I will love Will Tippin forever.

Mid-week Man Candy

This week's Man Candy is Seth Meyers, SNL head writer and Weekend Update anchor. Some people say SNL is not as funny as it used to be. I say, shut up, yes it is. Three things I love about Seth Meyers: he's funny, he's cute and he loves the Red Sox. I tried to find a video of the Point/Counterpoint he did with Derek Jeter ("Jeter, you suck in three very specific ways: So hard, so bad and wicked bad"), but there isn't one. Also, I don't think Katy would have appreciated it.

Side note: Seth Meyers also appeared briefly in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," which stars Michael Cera, one of only two people Katy has banned from Man Candy (the other is the enemy QB who shall not be named). I was going to go rogue and post a picture of Michael Cera instead this week, but then I told Katy I was going to do it, which kind of ruined the surprise. But trust me, I'll sneak him into the blog somehow.

I don't admit this very often, but "7th Heaven" is one of my favorite shows of all time. A lot of that was because of Matt Camden, aka Barry Watson. Even though he didn't get the best story lines (he had a deaf girlfriend, but Simon killed a guy), he was still awesome. And now he's on "Samantha Who?" which is also a great show. Here's to you Evan Longoria. The Rays third basemen celebrated his 23rd birthday one day early on Monday but helping Tampa Bay advance to the ALCS...and lookin' fine while doing so. It's funny how similar his name is to Eva Longoria, but I personally find Evan more fun to look at than Eva (I suppose it's a matter of opinion). I hope this doesn't curse him like past man candy men, because I want the Rays to win the ALCS, but after the whole John Parker Wilson debacle, I don't even know what to think anymore.

So, Sylar. You are by far the best part of Heroes, which is one of the best shows on TV, which makes you pretty much the greatest person in the world. Reason #100 why I'm glad I live alone: I scream a little bit every time he shows up onscreen (also reason #100 why I'll probably be living alone forever). Anyway, we love you when you're one of the good guys, but I was so much more excited when you killed the guy who played Weevil on Veronica Mars. So enjoy being a Petrelli and continue being super hot, but don't forget that we love you because you're so evil.

Today was the end of an era: the last game in Yankee Stadium. I have been there three times. Two walk-off wins. Great memories from the house that Ruth built, including a game just one week ago. Thanks for the memories, New York, New York.

OK, we're sorry. We're really, REALLY sorry. When we posted that picture of Tom Brady and his son, we thought it was just a really cute family moment. Little did we know that Tom would become the next victim of the Mccluca curse. It's beginning to freak us out a little. Yea, not everyone we post has something bad happen, but it happens enough times and close enough to when we post them that we are going to be a lot more wary of what we post...i.e. no more UGA posts...can't take the chance.
